　　Lou Chi Leong, the president of the Macau Hoteliers & Innkeepers Association, said that the industry is highly optimistic about 2024 summer holiday period, especially from mid-July to late August, which will be the prime period for the tourism industry, according to Macao Daily News.

　　During this period, the hotel industry will welcome a large number of tourists, and it is expected that the overall occupancy rate can reach more than 90%.

　　As for hotel room rate, Lou added that, overall, room rates will not rise significantly during the summer holiday, and it is normal for prices to be slightly higher than on weekdays.
