Rio Tinto, BYD Interested in Vying for Chile's Lithium Site Project

　　Chile's state mining company ENAMI revealed that 12 companies, including Rio Tinto, LG Energy Solution, and BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) +3.200 (+1.366%) Short selling $362.15M; Ratio 29.833% , had submitted proposals to extract lithium in Chile's Altoandinos salt flats, foreign news agencies reported.

　　Beginning a search for partners to provide financial or operational support for the project in May, ENAMI will announce which companies meet the eligibility requirements on 19 August before entering into negotiations with the shortlisted companies.
